Geez, keeping up with a weekly blog is a lot harder than it sounded when this started two months ago. It’s been quite a while since any of us Red Rockers (I think that’s what we are called; if not, it is now) gave more than a second’s thought to putting something on the blog. I know readership is low, mostly because people just come to our website to get more information before completing their purchases somewhere else. Other than my parents (hi mom and dad!), coworkers, or Facebook friends, I’m not sure this blog sees much traffic, but I have a plan; we are really going to do weekly updates, give stuff away, and offer promo codes on the reg to get a few more clicks. Furthermore, unlike every time I decide I’m going to start running in the mornings before work, I’m actually going to stick to this plan!
So what’s been going on here at RROG HQ? It’s catalog season! We have been poring through the 2015 catalog, making changes, adding new products, and taking oh-so-many photos! Julie has been doing the heavy lifting with the layout and all of the photography while I have been sitting around and writing/updating copy and telling her I hate various things (mostly fonts, because fonts are hard). The big bosses have been helping us review things in between meetings and trips to source more new products for y’all. We are hoping to keep the momentum going from this year’s catalog and website updates to make 2016 an even better and more cohesive year. If nothing else, 2016 will be the year you see a ton of pictures featuring me, the big bosses, and some of my buddies across all of our print and digital propaganda. If you’d like to see more of our lovely mugs and quality packs, make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
Also, keep reading these posts because I promise a lot more poorly-altered images because Paint is fun!
Now for the free stuff!
The first five people to submit a contact form through our website and mention this blog post will get an extremely small box of Red Rock Outdoor Gear items. We have caps, cozy can coolers, and American-made key fobs that my friend Rachel makes right here in Robinson, TX. (Employees and their family members aren’t eligible… but, let’s be honest, you could send a fake name and I’d have no idea because this is the internet.)
